If your lights are out and you want to see what is going on, you need your own utility’s outage map. There is no single official map for the whole country, because each electric company tracks its own outages and updates its own map in real time. This page puts the official maps in one place so you can get to yours in one click. We do not copy or re-draw outage data, so what you see is always the utility’s live information.
Official outage maps by utility
Each link opens the utility’s own website in a new tab. Utilities sometimes change their web addresses, so if one does not load, search for your utility’s name and “outage map”.

How to read an outage map
- Outage areas are usually shaded or marked with pins. Click one to see details.
- Customers affected shows how many accounts are without power in that area.
- Cause and estimated restoration time appear when the utility knows them. Estimates change as crews assess damage.
- Planned outages, such as maintenance, are often shown separately from storm outages.
Your outage is not on the map?
- Report it to your utility. Maps only show outages the utility already knows about. Use the report link on your utility’s site or the outage phone number on your bill.
- Check your breaker panel first. If only your home is dark, the problem may be inside your house.
- If you see a downed power line, stay far away and call 911 and your utility.
